State Cross Country

Today we went to Sugar House Park to watch the 5A State Cross County Race. It was a stormy day and on the cold side. The sun had been coming and going all day. Becky and I parked at Highland High School and hiked over to the park. There were cars lining the motorway of Sugar House Park. I was truely amazed at the attendence to the race. The girls started at 3:30 and the boys at 4:00. The ground and grass were throughly soaked, and as the gun went off it began to rain sending the temperature downward. Connor ran the race in 17:43 a good time for him; but he did say that he did wish he had on a shirt under his racing jersey. Mom and Dad along with Julie, Greg, Allie, Janet, Natalie, Becky and I were all in attendance. It was fun and almost comical to race back and forth across the park to see the runners as they would pass by. Bingham as a team came in 4th in State; but all important they did beat Alta who came in 5th. By the way the picture is from my cell phone.
