We are Slackers

Hello Everyone

Yes we are slackers here. Not much has changed in our home. It seems like it's still work, school and softball.

The kids are doing really well in school. Daphne had her first 4.0. She works so hard in school and really enjoys school. Hanalee made it to the District Science Fair that will be held at the end of February. Mile just loves school and is excelling at reading and math.

Lynn has been swamped at work. He usually leave early and then works from home after I go to work at night. I'm just grateful that he has a job and they are busy. We really hate the slow times.

We are still practicing softball at least once a week for each of the girls. We have our first tournament on Feburary 22 and 23 (?). We will be heading to St. George, we are hoping for warmer weather and some good softball games.

Today is Miles 6th birthday and I'm really struggling with how fast he has grown up. He lost his first tooth in January and it seems like he is growing up before my eyes. Boy has time flown by.

We are headed to Star Valley this weekend and looking forward to relaxing and enjoying time together.

We Love and Miss you all.

Janell

Don't Forget

Hello All,

It's me again writing all by myself! I feel weird putting another post on but it is my goal to post once a week so I am meeting my goal.

My work has been busy this week we are short one person and it really affects our work flow but we are managing.

We got alot of snow over the weekend. When I went out to get the paper on Sunday morning it was up to my knees! Dad went out to plow with the 6-wheeler and Timmy had to pull him out with the Snowmoblie I got a picture and I will try to have Timmy put it on for me when I get home it was pretty funny! It's been a crazy year for snow! The kids like it though and Jonathan and Evets took Garrett out sledding pulling him behind their 4-wheeler. Evets I think had the most fun she couldn't stop talking about it on sunday.

Speaking of Sunday was that not the best Superbowl ever?? GO GIANTS!!! I wanted anyone to win but Tom Brady I just can't stand him.

I have been reading alot lately and just finished a Newberry Award book "The Thief" it was awesome!!! Mom just finished the Golden Compass Series and loved them. She said that they got a raw deal by the whole church media stuff. I will be starting the 3rd book in the series later this week, but I have loved the first two!

Me and mom are going to a card class on Saturday at Kathy Hudson's house so that should be fun. I hope that everyone is doing fine and that all is well with everyones family!

Love you guys lots

Becky

Hello All Near Death Experience

Hey,

Whats up with this? Has everyone forgotten the Blog?? I started a new job in Oct and have been swamped up to my eyeballs but I have a few minutes today (at work) so I thought I would find out what's up?

I am doing great! I have finally gotten into a new groove at my new job and I don't feel like everyone is against me anymore.

We have been pounded by snow for that last week. In fact last Monday I thought my life was over. I was driving to work (at 5 am) and the roads had not been plowed. I was in the slow lane going like 10mph because there was crazy people going like 60mph and my car spun out of control, I went across 5 lanes of traffic did two 360's and ended up facing oncoming traffic with a semi 25 yards out heading straight for me. Needless to say I thought I was going to die. Someone upstairs was watching over me because the semi was able to get out of the way and I didn't get hit! It was after I got turned around that I called my dad (Crying because of the the trauma). He came and got me and took me to work! It was so much fun (NOT) that I have an anxiety attack every time I have to get on the freeway and there is snow. It is getting better though. I don't feel like I am going to get in an accident anymore.

So that is just a quick bleb of what is going on in my life. I am still doing Iaido and loving it and I plan on going to that national seminar in Philadelphia the first weekend in June so that should be fun! I really would like to take a week off so I can go see the historical sites and stuff so.

Also if you haven't heard me and mom are going to Italy in September for 20 days! So I am looking forward to doing that! I have a whole list of things everyone said we should do if anyone wants to add let me know!

Have to run Hope everyone is doing great!

Andreason & Megan Update

Well a lot has happened since last time anyone wrote. I'll update on Megan 1st. She had a cardiac pace maker put in last Friday for a disorder called Nuerological Snycope or P.O.T.S. (Postural Orthostatic Tachyardia Snydrome). Which in a nutshell means that her brain misfires to her heart and then she doesn't get enough oxygen to her brain and passes out. All which is not good for the brain, heart or body, so the doc's thought the pace maker would at least insure blood flow to the brain. She was supposed to be out within 24 hours of the procedure but ran into some problems with really low blood pressure and still having the fainting episodes in the hospital. So finally today she gets to go home. I am sure hoping everything turns out well with this and sorry if I slaughtered anything that happened or that she has. I know Larry is a little to busy right now to update. So my hopes and prayers are with Megan.

On the Andreason side, the sell of the Moab property should go through at the end of this month, so Todd will be returning at that time. (it's been really nice having him back here) So me and the kidlets should be going anytime from the middle to the end of February. We had a wonderful Christmas the kids were so excited to open all the presents. Tatum opened up her pretend food toward the end and then wouldn't open up anything else because she wanted to pretend cook and serve all of her food. That was her favorite thing and Brooks loves his Ninetendo DS. Then we went to Star Valley later that day in the afternoon, we had to drop off some stuff to Lynn and Janell so we went through Ogden Canyon and it seemed like it took twice as long (because I'm not familiar with that way). We hit pretty snowy conditions going over the pass into the valley but we didn't wreck or go off the road so I'm okay.

This coming year I am going to be putting together a digital scrapbook of our immediate family with all of the brothers and sisters having their own section (like in dad's family one) So I know Mom gave us back a lot of school pictures and stuff a couple years ago and I really really need some of those to make a great book for next Christmas. So unless your Lana or Larry I can come to your house pick them up and scan them into my computer and have them back to you within a couple days, or if you have your own scanner if you will scan them and email them to lanece.andreason@gmail.com I would way appreciate it. I also would like some memories or stories that you would want on your page we can do them two different ways. I know everyone is crazy busy so if you just want to tell me your stories or memories over the phone (I type pretty fast, and Colleen edits really good), or you can email or just send it to me. To give a couple ideas I'm going to tell about my California trip when mom pulled my out of the car before we left and threatened my life if I asked how many more miles, how many more minutes, when are we going to be there ect. I was so mad at her that I decided I wasn't going to talk the whole trip and I'm stubborn enough that I didn't say a word the whole trip there (I'm sure it was the best trip to California mom ever had). I'm also telling about me, Lana and Colleen up in the Colorado Rockies deciding that we needed to take a bath in the glacier feed lake. Sometimes if you start talking to your spouse or someone in your family about growing up you seem to remember a lot more. Anyways I really need your help to make this a great keepsake. I'm going to do the the next step next year and do the grand kids.

Miss everyone not here and hope we all have a great 2008.

Love, LaNece

Merrry Christmas Robinson Clan

Today is Christmas Eve I wanted to tell all the members of my family, that I love each and every one of you. Last night was Mom & Dad's family party but it seemed quite empty without the missing members. We miss you - Lana, Stan, Bethany, Jake, Cody, Josie, Larry, Michelle, Megan, Corby, Kailey, Chelsey, Heather, and Paige - and love you.

This year saw the end of a long standing Christmas Tradition. Mom and Dad served the Christmas roast at the family party not on Christmas. It seems like the end of an era. Families will now carry with their own traditions.

As I contemplate the holiday tommorrow I feel the love of family and my Heavenly Father. We wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Love
Colleen

Picture Alert!!!!!

Help!!!!
Please e-mail any recent pictures of you and your families. I working on something for Mom and Dad and recent pictures will just add. They can be vacations, sports, anything. Send to cwood@gslelectric.com .

The holidays are upon the Wood household. We did get the trees and decorations up but it looks like no outdoors lights on the Wood house this year. Bah humbug!

Where has this last year gone? I can not believe that we are only a few weeks from a new year.

With Larry in Tucson, Lana in Orlando and LaNece going to Moab I am having family withdrawal. We have always lived in close enough proximity we can get together whenever we want. Now it takes planning. I love and miss your all. Have a joyful and merry Christmas and New Year.

Love
Colleen

Christmas upon us!

Oh my! I can't believe it's December. Seriously, I really can't believe it's December. We went and got our tree (the first time in how many years without the Davis family, Julie? I miss our family date...) and it was beautiful. The sun was out and the kids were in tanks and shorts. It's going to be a struggle this first year to get in the spirit (Stan reminded me that's how it was in Hawaii as well. Was it the same for Tucson, Larry?), so we pulled out all the decorations we can find and will hit the holiday tunes hard as much as we can without driving Stan and Jake insane(and try not to giggle about the "let it snow" lines and references to "frightful" weather).

Life goes on here and things are busy. Cody has been doing some amazing things on tests here and just excels in the classroom. Josie is enjoying school and has more friends all the time. She's having a small party for her birthday; we're taking the girls to "Enchanted," which I have heard is cute. Bethany has kept you all up to date on what happening with us.

Stan and I did the Space Coast and all I can say is that we finished...not well...but we finished. That counts, right? It was hatefully hot without a lick of breeze. Pretty sure I'm going to lose three toenails from this one...a new record. Yippee. So at this point, Nece, I would feel a fraud to offer any advice. Okay, I'm really just sulking...and we already talked about it.

Anyway, just wanted to tell everyone that I love you all so much. The holidays just aren't the same without you...
